    Cristina Ponti ha conseguito, con lode, la Laurea Triennale e Laurea Specialistica in Ingegneria Elettronica presso l’Università degli Studi di Roma “Sapienza”, rispettivamente nel febbraio 2004 e settembre 2006. Ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca nel marzo 2010. Nello stesso anno ha collaborato con il Dipartimento di Elettronica Applicata dell’Università degli Studi “Roma Tre” come assegnista di ricerca, e dal dicembre 2010 è Ricercatrice di Campi Elettromagnetici.

    E' docente del corso di Dispositivi per Sistemi Wireless della Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica.  

    Nella sua attività di ricerca, Cristina Ponti si è prevalentemente interessata di teoria elettromagnetica, metodi numerici, scattering da oggetti sepolti, strutture a Band-Gap Elettromagnetico (EBG), antenne per applicazioni a microonde ed in band millimetrica, fusione nucleare.  

    Cristina Ponti è membro della Società Italiana di Elettromagnetismo (SIEm), dell'Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), società di Antennas and Propagation (AP) e Women in Engineering (WIE), del Metamorphose, e del Consorzio Nazionale Interuniversitario per le Telecomunicazioni (CNIT).
