    Cristina Ponti ha conseguito, con lode, la Laurea Triennale e Laurea Specialistica in Ingegneria Elettronica presso l’Università degli Studi di Roma “Sapienza”, rispettivamente nel febbraio 2004 e settembre 2006. Ha conseguito il titolo di Dottore di Ricerca nel marzo 2010 presso l'Università degli Studi "Roma Tre". Nello stesso anno ha collaborato con il Dipartimento di Elettronica Applicata dell’Università degli Studi “Roma Tre” come assegnista di ricerca, e dal dicembre 2010 è Ricercatrice di Campi Elettromagnetici (SSD ING/INF-02). 

    La sua attività di ricerca riguarda principalemente la teoria elettromagnetica, metodi numerici per l'elettromagnetismo, scattering da oggetti sepolti, Ground Penetrating Radar, Through-the Wall radar, strutture a Band-Gap Elettromagnetico (EBG), antenne per applicazioni a microonde ed in banda millimetrica, componenti ad alta potenza per fusione nucleare, interazione dei campi elettromagnetici con i mezzi biologici e con l'uomo.  

    Dal 2016 Cristina Ponti è Associate Editor della rivista internazionale IET Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation.

     

    Attività didattica

    Dall'a.a. è 2015/2016 docente del corso di 'Dispositivi per Sistemi Wireless' della Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica dell'Università degli Studi "Roma Tre".

    Dall'a.a. 2011/2012 all'2013/2014 è stata docente del corso di 'Telerilevamento' e nell'a.a. 2015/2016 del corso di 'Telerilevamento Ambientale' della Laurea in Ingegneria ElettronicaUniversità degli Studi "Roma Tre"

    Ha svolto attività di docenza anche nell'ambito di scuole dottorali internazionali, master e in missioni Erasmus+ Staff Mobility.
